How close to high power wires should you be to stay safe from injury? We will have a panel discussion on safety around the drill site and work place. The discussion will be led by a representative from PPL Electric Utilities and Board members Scott Moyer and Richard Raab. As many of you might know, Scott Moyer was called in to assist at a job site in August of this year, where two drillers in his area were fatally electrocuted while drilling a residential well. PPL Electric Utilities’ Line and Cable Safety Program campaign reminds workers of the potential dangers of working near overhead power lines and digging around underground electrical cables. Their goal is to prevent injuries and save lives by helping workers avoid accidental contact with electric facilities – both overhead and underground.
